Privacy Policy

Protecting information is what we do for a living. Here’s exactly how we handle yours.

The short version

  • We only collect information you choose to give us, plus basic technical information needed to run the site securely.
  • We never sell or rent your personal information.
  • We use your information to respond to you and send what you ask for, plus occasional updates you can unsubscribe from.
  • You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information at any time.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

SecureSI (“SecureSI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides managed IT, cybersecurity, and technology consulting services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information through our website, securesi.net, and the forms, emails, and communications connected to it.

This policy does not cover information we process on behalf of our clients while delivering managed services, such as data stored on client systems we support. That information is governed by our service agreements with each client and, where applicable, Business Associate Agreements under HIPAA.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

We collect information you choose to provide, for example when you:

  • Fill out our contact form: your name, company, email address, phone number, company size, and anything you include in your message
  • Request a guide or other resource: your name, email address, and company
  • Email or call us, or leave a review

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and your approximate location based on your IP address. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies described below.

Remote support sessions

If one of our technicians connects to your device through a one-time remote support session, our remote support tool logs session details such as the device name, IP address, session times, and the technician involved. We keep these records for security and support purposes.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your questions and requests, and schedule consultations
  • Send you the resources you ask for, such as guides
  • Send occasional updates about our services and resources, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website
  • Detect and prevent spam, fraud, and security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights

4. How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers that help us run our website and business (such as website hosting, email, form handling, spam protection, and customer management tools) who may use it only to provide services to us and must protect it
  • Legal requirements, when we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, subpoena, or court order, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of SecureSI, our clients, or others
  • Business transfers, if SecureSI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your information may be transferred as part of that transaction
  • With your consent, in any other situation where you’ve asked us to

5. Cookies and embedded content

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use:

  • Essential cookies that make the website work and keep it secure
  • Cookies from embedded services: features provided by other companies, such as the Google map on our contact page, the Google reviews on our home page (shown through Trustindex), and Cloudflare Turnstile spam protection on our forms, may set their own cookies or collect technical information such as your IP address. Those providers’ own privacy policies govern that information.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.

Because we don’t use tracking or advertising cookies, “Do Not Track” browser signals don’t change how our website works.

6. Email communications

If you request a resource or contact us, we may send you related follow-up emails. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at any time. We may still send you messages directly related to a request you’ve made or services you receive from us.

7. How we protect your information

Protecting information is what we do for a living, and we apply the same standards to our own systems. Our website uses encryption (HTTPS) to protect information in transit, and access to personal information is limited to employees and providers who need it to do their jobs. We use multi-factor authentication, monitoring, and other safeguards appropriate to the information we hold.

No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect your information and will respond promptly if an incident occurs.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy (for example, to respond to your inquiry or maintain our business records) or as required by law. When it’s no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

9. Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • Tell you what personal information we have about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Delete your information, unless we’re required to keep it
  • Stop sending you marketing emails

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing it, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.

10. Children’s privacy

Our website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the updated version on this page and change the effective date below. Significant changes will be highlighted on our website.
